Alexander Schönborn joined ECM in 2011. As a Partner, he is primarily responsible for the identification, implementation, and support of investment opportunities and is involved in the further development of our company.
Alex has many years of experience in the medium-sized investment business as well as in the further development of organisational structures in strongly growing companies. Amongst others, he was responsible for the investments in Dermatologikum Hamburg and YellowFox and currently supports our portfolio company ETS Group.
Prior to ECM, Alex worked for Commerzbank as an advisor on company acquisitions and sales transactions in the German Mittelstand. He studied economics at the University of Würzburg and holds a degree in business administration. He also studied restructuring law at the University of Heidelberg and graduated as LL.M. corp. restruc.
