Florian Kähler joined ECM in 2009. As Managing Director he is responsible for the management of ECM and in particular for the identification, implementation, and subsequent support of investments.
Over more than 25 years, Florian has developed a strong passion and leadership responsibility for the participation in and development of high-potential, medium-sized companies. Since 2009, he has been responsible at ECM for numerous successful transactions in succession and carve-out situations. The focus has always been on working in partnership with shareholder and management teams to develop and successfully implement a tailored growth strategy for the company. Amongst others, Florian was historically responsible for the investments in Kamps, Leitner Reisen, Dermatologikum, Uroviva, Intermate and PikeTec.
Before joining ECM, he worked for several years in the Acquisition & Leveraged Finance department of Deutsche Bank, where he was responsible for supporting financial investors in acquisition financing. Florian completed a banking apprenticeship and holds a degree in economics from the University of Hanover and the California State Polytechnic University.
