About KAMPS

As a classic bakery concept, the Kamps bakeries offer handcrafted, fresh baked goods, especially in the Kamps core region of North Rhine-Westphalia. The number of Kamps bakeries, which has grown consistently since 2010, is characterized by a "production location-independent concept", i.e. the baked goods are prepared directly on site in the individual stores and are sold fresh from the oven. The company's market is driven in particular by increasing "out-of-home" consumption.

The strategy

Following the carve-out of the company, the traditional bakeries and production were realigned through selective divestments. As a result of an extensive investment program, Kamps was able to expand into the growing quick-service gastronomy segment by (i) introducing a modern branch concept and by (ii) rolling out the Kamps bakery format throughout Germany and internationally. Consequently, a modern, clearly focused growth platform was created.
